Registered Nurse - Evening Shift

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse for evening shift work providing care to pediatric and/or adult patients in their own homes in the Washington, DC area. This is a private duty nursing position offering competitive hourly pay of $42-$45 per hour with weekly paychecks.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and services provided to clients receiving contracted services
• Initiate the plan of care when directed and request necessary revisions from the prescriber as patient status and needs change
• Incorporate therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervene as applicable in response to changes in patient condition and report such changes to the appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, and monitor and document effectiveness of interventions
• Review plan of care and program protocols to identify areas for healthcare teaching, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning needs

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state in which you practice (DC RN license required)
• Current Health Certificate per facility contract or state regulation
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• Current BLS card

Preferred Qualifications

• One year prior Registered Nurse experience
