Registered Nurse, ER, Full time, Nights, Clarksville

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room at our Main campus in Clarksville. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting as part of the region's largest comprehensive academic health system.

Clinical Setting

You will work in the VCH Emergency Room, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, and efficient patient care. Vanderbilt Health operates eight hospitals and over 180 clinics throughout the Mid-South, supported by preeminent programs in patient care, education, and research.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in establishing the plan of care and coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum
• Analyze comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnoses
• Utilize the nursing process to evaluate patient progress toward goals and apply appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes
• Employ strategies to promote health and maintain a safe and healthy environment
• Assess and evaluate patients, conduct primary care patient interviews, and assess the safety of the care environment
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments
• Provide patient education
• Recognize problems, ask questions, and contact the patient's primary care provider as appropriate

Schedule

• Full-time position (36 hours per week)
• Night shift: 6:45 p.m. to 6:45 a.m.

Required Qualifications

• Active Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• Graduate of an approved nursing program
