Registered Nurse, ER, Full time 3p-3a, Clarksville

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room at our Main campus in Clarksville. This full-time position works the 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. shift and is part of a comprehensive academic health system with eight hospitals and over 180 clinics serving the Mid-South region.

Clinical Setting

You will work in a fast-paced emergency department environment, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care. Vanderbilt Health emphasizes world-class care, advanced clinical programs, and a supportive community where your expertise is valued.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in establishing the plan of care, coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum
• Analyze comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnoses
• Utilize the nursing process to evaluate patient progress toward goals and apply appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes
• Employ strategies to promote health and maintain a safe and healthy environment
• Assess and evaluate patients, conduct patient interviews, and perform comprehensive physical assessments
• Provide patient education on relevant health topics
• Anticipate resource needs, identify distinct tasks, set priorities, and organize work to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
• Recognize clinical problems and contact the patient's primary care provider when appropriate

Schedule

• Full-time position (36 hours per week)
• 3 p.m. to 3 a.m. shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Tennessee
• Graduate of an approved nursing program
