Registered Nurse, ER, Full-time 12p-12a, Clarksville

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room at our Main campus in Clarksville. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting within one of the region's largest comprehensive academic health systems.

Clinical Setting

You will work in the VCH Emergency Room, part of Vanderbilt Health's eight-hospital system serving the Mid-South region. The emergency department provides care across the continuum of patient needs in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in establishing the plan of care, coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum
• Analyze comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnoses
• Utilize the nursing process to evaluate patient progress toward goals and apply appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes
• Employ strategies to promote health and maintain a safe, healthy environment
• Assess and evaluate patients, conduct primary care patient interviews, and assess the safety of the care environment
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments
• Provide patient education
• Recognize problems, ask questions, and contact the patient's primary care provider as appropriate
• Anticipate resource needs, identify distinct tasks, set priorities, and organize work within areas of direct responsibility
• Handle multiple assignments simultaneously by prioritizing work into manageable units
• Adapt to changes in patient care and area needs with minimal disruption

Schedule

• Full-time position (36 hours per week)
• 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. shift

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Graduate of an approved discipline-specific nursing program
