SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy department. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, implementing and monitoring individualized patient care plans while maintaining a safe and alert clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor patient care plans, recording and communicating patient condition as appropriate
- Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
- Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge to nursing care, ensuring care is delivered based on patient age-specific and clinical needs
- Demonstrate professional nursing standards as defined in SSM Health's professional practice model
- Use the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide responses to current and evolving patient and population health needs
- Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by a Compact State, or Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)

- Frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing 0-25 lbs
- Frequent pushing and pulling of objects weighing 0-25 lbs
- Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances, and ability to identify and distinguish colors
- Frequent use of smell to detect and recognize odors
- Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds, and hear alarms or malfunctioning machinery
- Occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing 25-50 lbs
- Occasional pushing and pulling of objects weighing 25-50 lbs
- Occasional lifting and moving of patients
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping
- Occasional repetitive foot, leg, hand, and arm movements
- Occasional driving
- Rare crawling and running
