Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Endoscopy department. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, implementing and monitoring individualized patient care plans while maintaining a safe and alert clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans, recording and communicating patient condition as appropriate
• Serve as primary coordinator of all disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
• Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
• Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge to nursing care, ensuring care is delivered based on patient age-specific and clinical needs
• Demonstrate professional nursing standards as defined in SSM Health's professional practice model
• Use the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses to guide responses to current and evolving patient and population health needs
• Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by a Compact State, or Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)

• Frequent sitting, reaching, and keyboard use/data entry

• Frequent use of smell to detect and recognize odors
• Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds, and hear alarms or malfunctioning machinery
• Occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing 25-50 lbs
• Occasional pushing and pulling of objects weighing 25-50 lbs
• Occasional lifting and moving of patients
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping
• Occasional repetitive foot, leg, hand, and arm movements
• Occasional driving
• Rare crawling and running

Schedule and Employment

• Day shift position
• 24 scheduled weekly hours
