This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at a hospital in Peridot, Arizona. You will provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, working on-site with flexible scheduling and on-call expectations.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in the ER
- Assess patient conditions, triage effectively, and prioritize care delivery
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per protocols
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements
- Generate and act on performance metrics and care outcomes to meet department targets
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses in electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
- Monitor patient progress, escalate concerns, and coordinate timely discharges or transfers
- Mentor and support junior staff and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
- Engage with patients and families to provide clear information and compassionate care
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license
- Valid Emergency Room nursing certification
- Minimum 2-3 years of ER or acute care experience in high-volume settings
- Advanced triage skills with ability to prioritize rapidly under pressure
- Ability to administer medications, monitor adverse reactions, and adjust plans per protocol
- Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation standards
- Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
- Strong communication skills for patient, family, and interdisciplinary team interactions
- Performance-driven mindset with ability to work toward department targets and metrics
- Experience in mentoring junior staff and contributing to a learning culture
- Adherence to contract terms and on-site work expectations with flexible scheduling and on-call availability
Compensation and Schedule
- $2,916 per 48-hour week
- 13-week contract position
