This is a contract position for a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room at a hospital in Peridot, Arizona. You will provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced, high-volume setting, working on-site with flexible scheduling and on-call expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in the ER
  • Assess patient conditions, triage effectively, and prioritize care delivery
  • Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per protocols
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Generate and act on performance metrics and care outcomes to meet department targets
  • Document patient assessments, treatments, and responses in electronic health records
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
  • Monitor patient progress, escalate concerns, and coordinate timely discharges or transfers
  • Mentor and support junior staff and contribute to a culture of continuous learning
  • Engage with patients and families to provide clear information and compassionate care

Required Qualifications

  • Current RN license
  • Valid Emergency Room nursing certification
  • Minimum 2-3 years of ER or acute care experience in high-volume settings
  • Advanced triage skills with ability to prioritize rapidly under pressure
  • Ability to administer medications, monitor adverse reactions, and adjust plans per protocol
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation standards
  • Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong communication skills for patient, family, and interdisciplinary team interactions
  • Performance-driven mindset with ability to work toward department targets and metrics
  • Experience in mentoring junior staff and contributing to a learning culture
  • Adherence to contract terms and on-site work expectations with flexible scheduling and on-call availability

Compensation and Schedule

  • $2,916 per 48-hour week
  • 13-week contract position
