Indiana University Health is hiring Registered Nurses for the Emergency Department at Fort Wayne Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This full-time position offers both day and night shift options and is available to both part-time and full-time candidates.

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide and coordinate competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will participate in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes, and enhance operational efficiency. You will reflect the mission, vision, and values of Indiana University Health, adhere to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance, and comply with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory and accreditation standards. You will adhere to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Exceptions

  • Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
