Registered Nurse (Emergency Department)

Vista Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment, assessing and treating patients with a wide range of medical conditions while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assess, triage, and prioritize patient care based on acuity and clinical needs
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to hospital protocols and physician orders
• Provide critical interventions for trauma, cardiac, and other life-threatening emergencies
• Monitor patients' conditions, recognize changes, and respond appropriately
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record
• Work collaboratively with physicians, paramedics, and other healthcare providers to deliver coordinated patient care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Uphold patient safety, infection control, and emergency response procedures

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in the State of Illinois or compact state eligibility
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, or willingness to obtain within 6 months
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Emergency Department or Critical Care experience
