Registered Nurse, Emergency Department, 24 hours, 7A-730P

Anna Jaques Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week on a 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM shift with weekend and holiday rotation. The Emergency Department is a close-knit team environment where nurses work collaboratively to provide high-quality emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient assessments and administer medications and treatments
• Observe patient progress and evaluate the effectiveness of therapies and clinical outcomes
• Collaborate with physicians and other medical professionals to develop optimal healthcare strategy plans for each patient
• Support and educate patients and their loved ones to achieve maximum outcomes
• Apply critical thinking skills to patient care decisions
• Strive to exceed patient expectations
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in a team environment

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active Massachusetts RN licensure or eligibility
• BLS certification
• Emergency Department experience required

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of nursing experience in an acute or sub-acute care setting
• ACLS and PALS certifications (required within 6 weeks of hire)
• TNCC certification

Schedule

• 24 hours per week
• 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM shift
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
