Registered Nurse Care Coordinator (RNCC) – Endocrinology, Children’s Hospital

Join UVA Health Children's Hospital as a Registered Nurse Care Coordinator in our Endocrinology specialty. This full-time position combines direct patient care with care coordination responsibilities, helping pediatric patients and their families navigate the healthcare system while managing their endocrinology treatment plans.

You will work in a clinical setting that may include hospital units, clinics, and community health organizations. Your role involves assessing patients, supporting treatment planning, coordinating care across multiple providers, and ensuring patients have timely access to resources that support their treatment journey. You will also contribute to designing and implementing clinical programs, policies, and services using specialized knowledge in endocrinology nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient assessment, diagnosis support, treatment delivery, and follow-up care
• Guide patients and families through the healthcare system and help them understand treatment plans
• Coordinate care across multiple providers to ensure continuity and timely access to resources
• Support patients and families throughout their treatment journey
• Contribute to the effective functioning of healthcare teams
• Design and implement clinical programs, policies, and services in endocrinology specialty
• Communicate clinical information requiring interpretation and explanation

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited nursing program
• Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification
• One year of registered nursing experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Three years of related and relevant registered nursing experience
• Specialty Board Certification

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this role is $85,820.80 to $113,401.60 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and education.
