Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiopulmonary/Renal unit. This full-time position works day shift from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. New graduate nurses are welcome to apply.
You will utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care, maintain professional accountability for assigned patients, evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers, and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. You will maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information while performing duties consistent with Mercy's mission and values.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure where nursing duties are performed
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion within 30 days of hire
- Meet all state board of nursing requirements
Additional Certifications
One or more of the following certifications may be required based on the specific unit or position, or must be acquired within the department's required timeframe:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit-specific certifications as required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Prolonged standing and walking during each shift
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
