Experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
Cooper University Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Cardiopulmonary Rehab program. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to cardiac, pulmonary, and peripheral arterial disease (PAD) patients in a rehabilitation setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care while anticipating patient needs and resolving concerns proactively.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for cardiac, pulmonary, and PAD patients
- Design and implement individualized exercise programs in accordance with AACVPR/AHA guidelines and physician recommendations
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments incorporating biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, and self-care factors
- Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans (ITP) that address physical, functional, vocational, nutritional, psychosocial, and educational needs
- Perform rapid observational assessments to determine changing patient priorities and monitor for inappropriate responses
- Terminate exercise sessions as needed and update staff and physicians using SBAR communication
- Provide effective patient and family education, assessing learning needs and evaluating teaching effectiveness
- Document all patient care, teaching, responses, evaluations, goals, and exercise sessions with accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan timely patient discharge
- Advocate for patient well-being and maintain accountability for nursing care from admission through discharge
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing
- Active RN licensure in the State of New Jersey
- ACLS/CPR certification
- Three years of critical care or coronary care experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation
Compensation
- Salary range: $37.93 to $58.04 per hour
