Registered Nurse, Cardiac Cath Lab Fellowship, Full Time Days, Cardiac Cath Lab, Atlantic Health, Chilton Medical Center

This full-time day position is a one-year Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse Fellowship designed to support registered nurses transitioning into the cardiac catheterization lab specialty. The program integrates AACN's Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) curriculum with hands-on clinical experience to prepare nurses for independent practice in the cath lab and critical care environment.

The fellowship combines online coursework, instructor-led classes, skills labs, and clinical rotations with a focus on procedural cardiac care. Upon completion, participants receive 75 continuing education credits and six months of structured clinical experience across relevant roles. The program is available throughout Atlantic Health System, with potential site-specific variations in job duties.

Clinical Setting

This position is located in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Chilton Medical Center, part of Atlantic Health System.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for cath lab patients
• Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team through shared governance principles
• Promote evidence-based care within a healing culture for patients and families
• Demonstrate and embrace PRIDE core values in all aspects of the role
• Communicate effectively and utilize computer systems proficiently

Required Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Nursing License
• BLS certification
• Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience in acute care

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• ACLS certification

Education and Licensure

• BSN preferred; non-BSN graduates must complete their BSN within five years of employment
• Valid New Jersey RN license required
