Registered Nurse, Cardiac Cath Lab Fellowship, Full Time Days, Atlantic Health, Newton Medical Center

This full-time day position is a one-year Cardiac Catheterization Lab Nurse Fellowship designed to support nurses transitioning into the cath lab specialty. Based at Newton Medical Center within Atlantic Health System, this program integrates AACN's Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO) with online coursework, instructor-led classes, skills labs, and clinical rotations focused on procedural cardiac care. Upon completion, you will receive 75 continuing education credits, six months of clinical experience across relevant roles, and preparation for national certification as an independent cath lab nurse.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for cath lab patients
• Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team through Shared Governance to promote evidence-based care within a healing culture for patients and families
• Demonstrate and embrace the PRIDE core values in all aspects of the role
• Communicate effectively and utilize computer systems proficiently

Required Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Nursing License
• BLS certification
• Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience in acute care

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• ACLS certification

Education and Licensure

• BSN is preferred. Non-BSN graduates are required to complete their BSN within five years of employment.

Employment Commitment

• All participants must agree to a two-year employment commitment at Atlantic Health System.
