Registered Nurse

BrightStar Care of Greater Waukesha and Lake Country is seeking a Home Health Registered Nurse to deliver skilled nursing care to patients in their homes across Waukesha County and Lake Country. This role focuses on helping patients maintain comfort, independence, and safety through hands-on clinical support and patient education.

Clinical Setting

You will work in patients' homes, providing individualized care based on established care plans. This is a full-time or part-time position with flexible scheduling options.

Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled nursing care according to individualized care plans
• Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing patient evaluations
• Administer medications, wound care, injections, and other clinical treatments
• Educate patients and families on disease management, safety, and wellness
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the broader care team
• Document all care accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory standards
• Promote patient independence and support positive health outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Current unencumbered RN license in the State of Wisconsin
• Certified CPR
• Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance and reliable transportation
• Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with varied assistance depending on client mobility
• Exceptional nursing assessment skills
• Strong clinical skills
• Analytic and critical thinking abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum one year of documented experience in a home health agency, primary care clinic, or health facility
• Bachelor's degree in nursing
• Experience providing trach and respiratory care
• Experience with ventilator use
• Experience with infusions

Schedule and Compensation

• Flexible shifts available
• Pay range: $40-$45 per hour
• Weekly pay with daily pay options
• Mileage reimbursement
