SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Adult Behavioral Health Unit. In this PRN role, you will provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients while working day shift in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Complete admitting and shift assessments on assigned patients, including behavioral assessments, within established timeframes
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze patient assessment data and notify physicians of changes in patient condition
  • Participate in the development, review, and evaluation of multidisciplinary treatment plans
  • Document all nursing care provided and adhere to nursing standards and facility policies and procedures
  • Implement and accurately record physician orders
  • Assess and monitor patients and the unit environment for safety
  • Serve as a clinical resource and supervise care delivered by LPNs and technicians
  • Educate patients and families based on assessed needs and document education in the Electronic Health Record
  • Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge to nursing care, ensuring age-specific and clinically appropriate care
  • Demonstrate professional nursing standards as defined in the SSM Health professional practice model and ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education for licensing
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license. License requirements vary by state:
  • Oklahoma: RN license issued by Compact State or Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN)
  • Illinois: RN license from Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Missouri: RN license from Missouri Division of Professional Registration or Compact State
  • Wisconsin: RN license from Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services or Compact State
  • No prior nursing experience required

Physical Requirements
