Serenity Assisted Living in Buckhannon, WV is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide clinical support and on-call coverage for our assisted living community. This role focuses on responding to resident health concerns, staff guidance, and clinical decision-making outside normal business hours, with a strong emphasis on geriatric care.
Clinical Setting
Serenity Assisted Living is located at 269 Little Sand Run Road in Buckhannon, WV. This position serves an assisted living community with a focus on geriatric residents.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical guidance and nursing support to assisted living staff
- Respond to resident health concerns, changes in condition, and urgent situations
- Perform resident assessments monthly and as needed
- Administer or oversee medication administration per policy
- Communicate with providers, families, and pharmacy as necessary
- Determine when a higher level of care or emergency services are needed
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and assisted living standards
- Document assessments, interventions, and communications accurately
Schedule
This position requires on-call coverage during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. You must be able to respond by phone within 5 minutes and/or in person within 60 minutes. The role requires a minimum of 25 hours per week at the facility during daytime hours, with 24/7 on-call availability for emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
- Current CPR and first aid certification
- Strong assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and provide leadership support to staff
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
