NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island is seeking a Registered Nurse for the ASC Manhasset Endoscopy department. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide procedural nursing care in a 591-bed university-affiliated medical center with a deep commitment to medical education and research.

Clinical Setting
You will work in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) Endoscopy department at NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island, a major regional healthcare resource offering sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic care across virtually every specialty and subspecialty of medicine and surgery.
Responsibilities
- Perform procedural nursing duties in the endoscopy setting
- Assess patient data and determine nursing diagnoses or issues
- Identify expected outcomes individualized to each patient and situation
- Develop and implement care plans that prescribe strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes
- Coordinate care delivery with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Employ strategies to promote health and maintain a safe environment
- Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes
- Practice ethically using the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements
- Maintain current knowledge and competence reflecting current nursing practice
- Integrate evidence and research findings into practice
- Contribute to quality nursing practice and departmental performance improvement initiatives
- Communicate effectively in a variety of formats across all areas of practice
- Demonstrate leadership by orienting, mentoring, and managing team members
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Evaluate your own nursing practice in relation to professional practice standards, guidelines, statutes, rules, and regulations
- Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution (required for employees hired after September 1, 2020; those hired prior to that date are grandfathered)
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York State
- Current and valid BLS certification through the American Heart Association
- Current and valid ACLS and/or PALS and/or NRP certification as required by patient population, within one year of hire
- Knowledge of standards of practice for all areas of patient care
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Strong organizational and customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- One to two years of nursing experience
- One year of endoscopy experience
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $125,056.68 to $149,806.68 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. This range does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
