Registered Nurse (As Needed) - Family Medicine Center

This is an as-needed position for a Registered Nurse in a Family Medicine Center. You will support the clinical team by managing patient flow, performing clinical assessments, administering immunizations, and conducting in-house diagnostic testing. This role is ideal for a nurse seeking flexible, part-time work in an outpatient primary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Foster an environment that demonstrates care, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, visitors, and co-workers
• Demonstrate proficiency in the use of all medical equipment in the office
• Adhere to procedural checklists for administering all immunizations and injections
• Ensure that all examination rooms are clean and fully stocked with supplies, including replacing any expired supplies
• Call patients from the waiting area using appropriate title and last name to a clean, well-stocked examination room
• Obtain and accurately document vital signs and confirm chief complaint
• Triage and perform in-house diagnostic testing according to orders
• Manage patient workflow in the clinical area
• Provide support and assistance as needed to patients, nurses, physicians, and other staff
• Participate proactively in problem solving and process improvement activities through collaboration with clinical teams using evidence-based practices
• Perform other duties as assigned

Licenses and Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire if not already current)
