Holy Cross Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Surgery center. In this full-time day shift position (5:30am - 2pm), you will deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team in a collaborative environment. You will apply the Quality Caring Model to plan and manage care for routine patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. You will effectively communicate fundamental patient and family information to the healthcare team.
Clinical Setting
This position is located within the Ambulatory Surgery center at Holy Cross Health, a Catholic, not-for-profit health system serving Montgomery and Prince George's counties in Maryland.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate acceptable performance using the Quality Caring Model and nursing process
- Plan and manage care of routine patients
- Provide patient and family education
- Coordinate continuum of care planning
- Effectively communicate patient and family information to the healthcare team
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
- Current Registered Nurse licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience
- Authorization to work in the United States without work visa or sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Additional Life Support training as applicable to unit requirements
