Registered Nurse

Alaris Health at Hamilton Par, a 260-bed skilled nursing center in Jersey City, New Jersey, is seeking a Registered Nurse to oversee nursing personnel, manage unit operations, and deliver high-quality resident care.

Clinical Setting

This position is based in a skilled nursing facility serving residents who require rehabilitative and long-term care services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing personnel and supervise nursing functions
• Manage the unit's daily operations and ensure compliance with all Center guidelines and regulations
• Provide direct care to residents with meticulous attention to care plans, courses of action, residents' records, and documents
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, government personnel, and the general public
• Promptly notify each resident's attending physician and family or responsible party of any significant change in health condition
• Maintain composure and make quick decisions in emergency situations
• Recognize and identify symptoms and respond appropriately
• Ensure each resident receives the highest quality of service, compassion, and care

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license from an approved New Jersey school of nursing
• Full command of the English language, including understanding of technical concepts
• Current physical assessment skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of state nursing principles
• Thorough knowledge of nursing techniques and practices
• Ability to handle and manipulate instruments and equipment
• Ability to recognize and identify symptoms and make decisions quickly in emergencies
• Empathetic attitude towards residents and ability to gain their confidence

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience in geriatric or rehabilitative nursing
• Experience in a supervisory capacity
