Registered Nurse – Advanced Acute Care Surgical Trauma Unit

This position is an inpatient Registered Nurse role in an Advanced Acute Care Surgical Trauma Unit. You will deliver comprehensive patient care in accordance with state standards and unit policies, addressing the physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients in this specialized clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies
• Develop, coordinate, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Educate patients and families on their care and treatment plans
• Facilitate discharge planning and ensure effective communication among team members
• Monitor patient responses to interventions and revise care plans as needed
• Troubleshoot clinical equipment and maintain a safe patient environment
• Participate in unit decision-making, quality improvement initiatives, and safety programs
• Delegate tasks appropriately and promote teamwork
• Adapt to changing patient conditions and clinical demands

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from a specialty nursing training program
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Critical thinking ability
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Schedule

• Evening and night shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
