Registered Nurse- Adult Obstetrics

Indiana University Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Adult Obstetrics. In this role, you will provide evidence-based, patient-centered care to obstetric patients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to advance patient outcomes and support operational efficiency.

As a Clinical Nurse, you will be accountable for the full spectrum of nursing care, including assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will participate in clinical decision-making, patient and staff education, mentoring, and interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize patient care delivery.

You will adhere to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements, while upholding Indiana University Health's mission, vision, values, Code of Ethics, and Corporate Compliance standards.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing (ASN) or higher
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license
• Graduation from a nationally accredited nursing program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association

Education and Licensure

Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

Additional Requirements

Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit and department specialty according to patient care policies.
