Registered Nurse, Admissions Behavioral Medicine - Full time

This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide nursing care in a behavioral medicine admissions setting. You will work as a competent registered nurse, practicing independently while demonstrating awareness of complex clinical situations. The role involves providing routine and complex care with the ability to focus on long-range goals and manage contingencies of clinical nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with your level of practice
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
• Assess patient learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify issues and resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to manage clinical situations
• Meet expectations of applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or compact
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in nursing
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty
