Registered Nurse - Acute MedSurgical C

This position offers an opportunity to provide comprehensive nursing care in an acute medical-surgical setting. As a Registered Nurse on the Acute MedSurgical C unit, you will care for patients with routine and complex medical and surgical conditions, working independently while managing contingencies and coordinating care with other providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education; identify issues and resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers to manage the clinical situation
• Meet expectations of OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
• Practice in accordance with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of employment or compact
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty

• 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts
