This is a full-time inpatient Registered Nurse position specializing in pediatric acute care medical and surgical nursing for school-age children. You will work the night shift with rotating weekends and holidays on a pediatric medical/surgical unit.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs
- Develop and coordinate individualized care plans for pediatric patients
- Provide direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic support
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Participate in unit-based decision-making and quality and safety initiatives
- Troubleshoot clinical equipment
- Contribute to quality improvement and safety programs
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a specialty nursing training program
- Ability to work effectively in a clinical environment with focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Active RN license
