Registered Nurse 2 Periop Float Pool-2

Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Registered Nurse 2 for the Perioperative Float Pool. In this role, you will apply the nursing process to plan and implement care for perioperative patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. You will work across multiple perioperative settings as a float pool nurse, collaborating with the healthcare team to establish patient goals and evaluate progress toward effective outcomes.

Clinical Setting

You will work within Vanderbilt Health's Perioperative Float Pool, supporting eight hospitals and over 180 clinics across the region's largest comprehensive academic health system. As a float pool nurse, you will rotate across perioperative units to meet organizational needs.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate in establishing the plan of care, coordinate and implement care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum
• Analyze comprehensive information pertinent to the patient's care and management to determine nursing diagnoses
• Continually utilize the nursing process to evaluate patient progress toward goals and apply appropriate interventions to ensure effective outcomes
• Employ strategies to promote health and a safe and healthy environment
• Effectively communicate pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team
• Participate in patient and family education
• Engage in learning activities according to Board of Nursing standards to further professional growth

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license
• Graduate of an approved discipline-specific nursing program
• Minimum one year of relevant nursing work experience
