The Registered Nurse 2 (RN2) provides skilled clinical services and supports public health programs that improve the wellbeing of the community. This full-time position is located in the Department of Health, Maury County in Columbia, Tennessee.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and collect patient health histories
• Administer medications and evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Conduct diagnostic tests and manage laboratory specimens
• Provide patient and family education
• Maintain medical supplies, vaccines, equipment, and instruments
• Support WIC services and provide VENA-based nutrition counseling
• Document and code patient visits accurately in the electronic health record

Required Qualifications

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or holds a privilege to practice in the State of Tennessee under the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
• Valid motor vehicle operator license may be required

Driver Requirements

State of Tennessee positions that may involve driving responsibilities require candidates to meet the following minimum driver qualifications:

• A valid driver's license
• For the past five years, the candidate's driver record must not have record of the following violations: driving under the influence (DUI), reckless driving, license suspension for moving violations, or more than 4 moving violations

Compensation

• Monthly: $4,608.00 - $6,893.00
• Annually: $55,296.00 - $82,716.00
