The Department of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester is seeking an ABR certified or eligible interventional radiologist for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor or above, with rank commensurate with experience.
The Department of Imaging Sciences is a practice of approximately 90 radiologists and 25-30 residents and fellows. The department provides imaging services across several locations throughout the Rochester region, with annual study volumes approaching 1,000,000. Technical capabilities include state-of-the-art information technology, 3T MRI, clinical PET/MRI, Dual Energy CT, and digital PET/CT. The PACS system is integrated into a comprehensive electronic clinical information system.
The University of Rochester Medical Center is one of the largest organizations for medical treatment and research in Upstate New York. The medical center encompasses a regional prenatal center, trauma center, burn center, cancer center, level 4 epilepsy center, and liver and cardiac transplant centers. The organization has built a regional network of owned and affiliated hospitals united with a single PACS system.
As a faculty member, you will have opportunities to develop research in collaboration with clinical colleagues and basic science/engineering groups at the university. The department maintains an average of one day per week of dedicated academic and administrative time to allow for professional development. Multiple academic activity tracks allow promotion through scholarly education or clinical activity.
