Infinite Medical P.C. is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with pulmonology experience to join our team providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities across the designated region. In this full-time travel position, you will deliver on-site clinical care to residents with pulmonary conditions including asthma, COPD, pneumonia, and other respiratory disorders as part of our Patient Health Management program.
Clinical Setting
You will work across multiple nursing homes within the state, traveling regularly to provide direct patient care in long-term care and skilled nursing facility environments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical assessments and medical screenings of patients with pulmonary conditions
- Diagnose and treat common respiratory illnesses, including asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors
- Prescribe medications and therapies, such as inhalers, antibiotics, and pulmonary rehabilitation programs
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
- Perform diagnostic procedures, including spirometry, chest X-rays, and arterial blood gas analysis
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate facility visits and optimize patient coverage
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility settings
- Minimum 1 year of experience in pulmonology or respiratory care
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
- DEA License
- CPR BCLS/BLS certification
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Completion of degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Reliable transportation
- 100% local travel commitment required, including willingness to travel to different nursing homes within the state
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience documenting in EMR systems (Sigma, Visual, PCC, or similar); training provided
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Schedule
Full-time position with flexible scheduling to accommodate multiple facility visits.
Travel Requirements
Local travel 100% required. You must be willing to travel to different nursing homes within the state as part of regular duties.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per annum
