Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (pmhnp)

We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team providing comprehensive psychiatric care to clients. In this per diem position, you will conduct psychiatric evaluations, prescribe and manage medications, and provide ongoing follow-up care through virtual appointments delivered remotely.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with mental health disorders and illnesses
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families
• Prescribe and manage medications as needed
• Provide counseling to patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with regulatory and practice standards
• Stay current with best practices, research, and guidelines in psychiatric and psychopharmacological care

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) license
• Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current DEA license and prescribing authority
• Strong clinical judgment, interpersonal communication, and documentation skills
• Comfortable using telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR)

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in psychiatry or behavioral health
