Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – PMHNP – Inpatient Units – Per-Diem

NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester Behavioral Health is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for inpatient units. In this per diem day shift role, you will conduct psychiatric assessments of children and adolescents, evaluate their behavioral health needs, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to determine the most appropriate care settings for patients and families.

Clinical Setting

You will work in inpatient psychiatric units at NewYork-Presbyterian/Westchester Behavioral Health, serving a pediatric and adolescent population with diverse mental health disorders.

Schedule

This is a per diem day shift position, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, located in White Plains, New York. On-site presence is required. All employees must live within a commutable distance to the facility. NewYork-Presbyterian will not reimburse travel expenses.

Required Qualifications

• Board Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Master's degree in nursing
• Bachelor's degree (BSN) in nursing
• Current New York State license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
• Experience working with all age groups in a behavioral health inpatient setting
• National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner

Compensation

Hourly rate: $102.73
