The opportunity

Job Description

Neurosprout ABA Therapy, a Maryland-based provider of in-home and community-based ABA therapy for children with autism and developmental delays, is seeking a licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or licensed Psychologist (PhD/PsyD) to conduct comprehensive autism and developmental evaluations. This position offers flexible scheduling with approximately 10–12 hours per week, available both in-person and via telehealth.

Clinical Setting

Neurosprout ABA serves children with autism spectrum disorder and developmental delays through in-home and community-based services. You will join the diagnostic evaluation team to support treatment planning and insurance authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive autism and developmental diagnostic evaluations for children
  • Administer and interpret standardized assessment tools, including CARS-2, GARS-3 or equivalent, M-CHAT-R/F, and optional tools such as TELE-ASD-PEDS or BOSA
  • Conduct caregiver interviews and clinical observations
  • Evaluate for related developmental and behavioral concerns, including ADHD, speech and language delays, and cognitive and developmental delays
  • Complete comprehensive diagnostic reports with clinical recommendations and ICD-10 diagnoses
  • Collaborate with the clinical team regarding treatment recommendations as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Active Maryland PMHNP license or Maryland Psychologist license
  • Familiarity with DSM-5 diagnostic criteria
  • Comfortable with both in-person and telehealth evaluations
  • Strong clinical writing and assessment skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience evaluating children with autism spectrum disorder

Schedule

  • Flexible scheduling with the ability to choose your own hours
