Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Infinity Mental Health is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. In this role, you will deliver comprehensive mental health care to patients in our dedicated mental health practice, conducting psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, and managing psychotropic medications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments for new and existing patients
• Diagnose and treat a range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with evidence-based practices
• Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the care team
• Provide medication management follow-up appointments and adjust treatment as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) system
• Coordinate care with therapists, primary care providers, and other specialists as appropriate

Required Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in Maryland with Psychiatric Mental Health specialization (PMHNP)
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a Psychiatric Mental Health specialization
• Active DEA license and prescriptive authority in Maryland
• Experience in psychiatric or mental health care settings
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, empathetic approach to care
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
