Job Description

Mavida Health, an online therapy and psychiatry platform focused on women's mental health, is hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide specialized care through telehealth. This contract position offers flexible, part-time hours with the goal of growing to full-time employment. You will work evenings and weekends, providing evidence-based psychiatric care to women experiencing hormonally influenced life transitions including PCOS, PMDD, pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, and menopause.

Clinical Setting

All work is conducted remotely via telehealth. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including physicians, therapists, and social workers to coordinate patient care. Mavida Health is a clinician-led organization that combines the resources of a legacy healthcare company with the autonomy and impact of a high-growth startup.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments, including medical history review, mental status examinations, and diagnosis formulation
  • Develop individualized treatment plans including medication prescribing, therapy recommendations, and other interventions
  • Provide evidence-based, patient-centered psychiatric care with focus on women's health and perinatal mental health issues
  • Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress, side effects, or changing clinical needs
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health record systems in compliance with legal and ethical standards
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to contribute to innovation and growth
  • Stay current with best practices, research, and developments in psychiatric nursing and women's health
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing psychiatric nursing practice

Required Qualifications

  • Valid and active New York Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license
  • Valid and active New York DEA registration with schedules 2-5
  • Ability to work independently in a 100% virtual environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with emphasis on patient-centered care
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems and healthcare software
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards

Schedule and Employment
