Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - Germantown, MD & Frederick, MD

Capital Neurology & Sleep Medicine is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide psychiatric care within an integrated neurology and behavioral health environment. You will serve adult patients at locations in Germantown and Frederick, Maryland, with a unique opportunity to care for patients whose psychiatric conditions frequently overlap with neurologic, cognitive, and sleep disorders.

Clinical Setting

You will work within a multidisciplinary specialty practice that integrates neurology, sleep medicine, neuropsychology, physical medicine and rehabilitation, behavioral health, and advanced practice providers. You will have access to comprehensive specialty resources including neuropsychological testing, EEG, EMG, sleep studies, and additional on-site diagnostic services.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment planning for adult patients
• Manage psychiatric medications
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists
• Practice independently within a collaborative specialty-care environment

Schedule

Full-time positions offer a highly flexible hybrid schedule with 3-4 remote days and 1-2 in-office days per week. Part-time positions are also available with a minimum of 3 days per week, including at least 1 in-office day. You may choose your preferred in-office location between Germantown or Frederick.

Required Qualifications

• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Active Maryland license or eligibility to obtain
• Minimum 1 year of post-graduate PMHNP experience
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
• Ability to practice independently within a collaborative specialty-care environment

Compensation and Benefits

Full-time base salary starts at $145,000, with higher compensation based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; paid time off plus paid holidays; 401(k) with employer contribution; and malpractice coverage.
