Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

BlueSky is a clinician-led behavioral health company seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide individual psychiatric care via telehealth in an outpatient setting. You will conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications as necessary, ensuring all care is delivered in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Clinical Setting

This is a fully remote position with no hospital or clinic affiliation. You will practice with autonomy in the best interest of the patient without corporate administrative interference. Clinical work is performed from home with days and hours of your choosing, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective individual psychiatric care via telehealth in an outpatient setting
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe medications as necessary
• Ensure all patient care complies with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards
• Collaborate regularly with assigned therapists on your team, at minimum monthly, to discuss patient cases and clinical topics
• Participate in clinical conferences held four times weekly

Team Structure

You will be integrated into teams composed of multiple therapists and a prescriber. During onboarding, you will meet multiple eligible psychotherapists seeking additions to their team, and matches will be made based on fit.

Schedule and Conferences

Clinical work hours are flexible and determined by you. Clinical team meetings are conducted virtually. Clinical conferences are held four times per week. Attendance at one conference per week is required for the first 90 days of employment; after that, attendance at one monthly conference is required.

Required Qualifications

• Active PMHNP license with openness to licensing in alternative states
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a PMHNP
• Strong clinical background in psychiatry
• Strong background in diagnosis of psychiatric disorders and psychopharmacological treatments
• Familiarity with non-pharmacological interventions
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse group of healthcare professionals
• Strong computer and technology skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Master's degree (required)
