Optimum Care Counseling and Wellness Solutions, LLC is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide virtual psychiatric services to children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly across Pennsylvania. This is a fully remote position where you will conduct outpatient psychiatric evaluations and medication management services using a secure telehealth platform and electronic health records system.
Clinical Setting
You will work 100% virtually from your home office, providing individual counseling and psychiatric services to clients in all 67 counties of Pennsylvania. The practice uses ICANotes, a robust electronic health records system with integrated telehealth capabilities, to deliver and document care.
Schedule
Flexible hours are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. A minimum of 15 to 20 hours per week is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management services to clients via telehealth
- Assess, diagnose, and treat children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly experiencing behavioral health and psychiatric disorders
- Prescribe, recommend, or discontinue medications and treatments for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders
- Establish and modify individualized treatment plans based on assessments and evaluations
- Provide counseling to clients during appointments as clinically necessary
- Order and review laboratory or diagnostic tests to assess physical and mental health conditions
- Document all services in ICANotes in compliance with OCCWS regulations, local, state, and federal laws, and payor requirements
- Communicate with clients' guardians, relatives, and significant others regarding conditions and treatment when clinically appropriate
- Collaborate with the in-house psychiatrist, other psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, social workers, and placement agencies to coordinate care
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of medical records, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcome measures
- Provide prevention-oriented, cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, or psychoanalytic therapies
- Facilitate quality improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in nursing specializing in psychiatric nursing
- Graduation from a state-certified advanced practice program specializing in psychiatry or mental health
- At least 1 to 2 years of direct client care experience with persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders
- Ability to work with children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly
- Active license to practice as a nurse practitioner in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain licensure with employer support
- Experience delivering high-quality, client-centered care
- Ability to independently document in and navigate ICANotes after training
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy standards and compliance
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, families, school staff, and interdisciplinary team members
- Proficiency with computers, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general and professional documents
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work productively
- Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience as a psychiatric provider
- Experience in telemedicine

Paid training on ICANotes is provided, typically 10 to 15 hours depending on the provider.
