Stella Mental Health is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our clinics in the Oakbrook/Elmwood Park, Illinois area. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care using cutting-edge treatment modalities including ketamine infusions, intranasal esketamine (Spravato), transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), and Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) procedures.
Clinical Setting
You will work at our Westmont or Elmwood Park clinic locations, providing direct patient care in a fast-paced mental health treatment environment. We treat patients with depression, PTSD, and anxiety using evidence-based interventional and pharmacological approaches.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a patient panel for psychopharmacology and interventional treatment services
- Perform comprehensive consultations to assess patient candidacy for ketamine, Spravato, TMS, and SGB treatments
- Conduct comprehensive interval assessments of patients presenting for intravenous ketamine, Spravato, and TMS treatments to determine treatment plans
- Administer and monitor intravenous ketamine and Spravato treatments, including vital sign monitoring and patient support throughout treatment experiences
- Perform initial TMS mapping and administer subsequent TMS treatments
- Work collaboratively with other Stella clinicians to shape best practices and ensure clinical protocols are followed
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient consultations and treatments while ensuring patient confidentiality
- Provide a seamless and supportive experience to patients and their families
- Respond to patient escalations and execute crisis protocols as needed
- Meet specific daily, weekly, and monthly key performance indicators related to patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes
- Contribute to continuous improvement and refinement of our care delivery model in partnership with the medical board and operations team
Required Qualifications
- Active Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner license in good standing in the state of Illinois
- Completion of the 2-year supervisory period with ability to prescribe independently
- Minimum 2 years of clinical psychiatry experience
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and process information in a confidential manner
- Ability to collaborate and communicate with members of an interdisciplinary care team
- Effective problem-solving and prioritization skills
- Strong skills in patient care, assessment, and monitoring
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize multiple requests and responsibilities, and learn new proprietary systems quickly
- Ability to work independently
- Reliable ability to commute to Illinois clinic locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional state licensure beyond Illinois
- Prior clinical experience with ketamine infusions, Spravato, or TMS
- Willingness to obtain active unrestricted licenses in other states as needed
Compensation
The pay range for this position is 135,000 - 150,000 USD per year.
