Innovative Treatment Centers is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide individualized psychiatric care in a collaborative outpatient setting in Frederick, Maryland. This position welcomes both experienced practitioners and new graduates who demonstrate sound clinical judgment and strong communication skills.
Clinical Setting
You will work alongside therapists, psychiatric providers, and administrative staff in an outpatient mental health and addiction treatment clinic. The practice supports evidence-based treatment and offers opportunities for clinical skill development and career advancement.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, establish diagnoses, and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide ongoing medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness
- Evaluate medication adverse effects and relevant laboratory findings
- Conduct risk assessments, develop safety plans, and coordinate higher levels of care when needed
- Collaborate with therapists, other psychiatric providers, and referring professionals to support coordinated care
- Participate in specialty treatment services such as Spravato, long-acting injectable medications, and medication-assisted treatment as appropriate to your training and credentials
- Complete clinical documentation promptly
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and quality improvement activities
- Communicate reliably with staff and contribute to ongoing professional development
Required Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in nursing with preparation as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Current PMHNP-BC certification
- Active, unrestricted Maryland nursing licensure
- Current applicable nurse practitioner certification
- Current DEA registration
- Maryland controlled dangerous substances registration appropriate to assigned prescribing duties
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, psychopharmacology, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to practice within your professional scope and recognize when consultation is needed
- Availability to work Saturdays and maintain a consistent 25-30 hour weekly schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous outpatient psychiatric or addiction treatment experience
- Spanish-language proficiency
Schedule
- 25-30 hours per week
- Saturdays required; remaining weekly hours will be coordinated with leadership based on patient needs and clinic operations
- Flexible work from home options available
Compensation
- 25 hours per week: $91,000-$96,200 annualized
- 30 hours per week: $109,200-$115,440 annualized
- Compensation is based on weekly hours, experience, and qualifications
- This is an hourly-paid position; actual annual earnings depend on the agreed-upon rate and total paid hours
