Join TeamHealth as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner providing behavioral health care to older adults in post-acute and long-term care settings. This part-time position offers clinical autonomy, flexible scheduling, and strong organizational support without the administrative burden of private practice.

Clinical Setting

You will work in post-acute and long-term care environments including skilled nursing facilities (SNF), long-term care (LTC), assisted living facilities (ALF), and inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRF). The coverage area includes Jesup, Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations
  • Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults
  • Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
  • Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns
  • Provide brief interventions and behavioral management
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings

Schedule

  • Part-time: 1 day per week, Monday through Friday
  • No nights or weekends
  • Flexible, onsite, round-and-go model with remote documentation capabilities

Required Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Georgia license as a PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C
  • Active DEA license or willingness to obtain
  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a PMHNP or Psych PA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with older adults
  • Experience in post-acute care settings

Compensation and Benefits

  • Fee-for-service (FFS) compensation with estimated annual range of $28,610 to $34,332
