PRN Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) / Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA) | Inpatient

Ally Psychiatry is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA) for a PRN inpatient position in the Boca Raton, Florida market. This role offers flexible, as-needed scheduling with primary focus on weekend coverage opportunities. You will provide onsite psychiatric care within an inpatient behavioral health setting, working collaboratively with psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, and hospital teams across partnerships with more than 55 hospitals and nearly 20 outpatient clinics.

Clinical Setting

You will work in an inpatient psychiatric environment serving patients experiencing acute psychiatric illness. The role is based in the Boca Raton, Florida market and involves onsite patient care within a multidisciplinary treatment setting.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Manage psychiatric medications and monitor treatment response
• Participate in daily inpatient rounding
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, and hospital teams
• Deliver evidence-based care within an inpatient behavioral health setting
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation

Schedule

This is a PRN (as-needed) position with flexible scheduling. Weekend coverage opportunities are available and emphasized as a primary focus.

Required Qualifications

• Current Florida APRN or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
• PMHNP board certification or relevant psychiatric PA experience
• Previous psychiatric or behavioral health experience
• Current DEA registration
• Strong communication, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team

Preferred Qualifications

• Inpatient psychiatry experience
