PRN Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) / Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA) | Inpatient

Ally Psychiatry is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA) for a PRN inpatient position in the Boca Raton, Florida market. This role offers flexible, as-needed scheduling with primarily weekend coverage opportunities to provide onsite psychiatric care within an inpatient behavioral health setting.

Clinical Setting

You will work in inpatient psychiatric units throughout the Boca Raton market, collaborating with psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, and hospital teams. Ally Psychiatry partners with more than 55 hospitals and nearly 20 outpatient clinics throughout the Southeast, providing a well-established clinical infrastructure and established workflows.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Manage psychiatric medications and monitor treatment response
• Participate in daily inpatient rounding
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, and hospital teams
• Deliver evidence-based care within an inpatient behavioral health setting
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation

Required Qualifications

• Current Florida APRN or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
• PMHNP board certification or relevant psychiatric PA experience
• Previous psychiatric or behavioral health experience
• Current DEA registration
• Strong communication, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team

Preferred Qualifications

• Inpatient psychiatry experience

• PRN / As-needed position
• Flexible scheduling to supplement an existing clinical schedule
• Primarily weekend coverage opportunities
