PRN - Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - PA / PMHNP

Ally Psychiatry, a physician-owned and physician-led psychiatry medical group operating across 9 states with over 55 hospitals and nearly 20 clinics, is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for an onsite inpatient PRN role with occasional weekend coverage in the Charleston, SC market.

This position offers the opportunity to deliver high-quality inpatient psychiatric care while utilizing advanced treatments and evidence-based care strategies. You will work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals in an efficient work environment with established templates and processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Manage medications for patients, including those with substance use disorders
• Deliver high-quality inpatient psychiatric care
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure exceptional patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation standards

Required Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in South Carolina in good standing
• Board certification as a PMHNP
• DEA registration or current qualifications and ability to obtain it
• State license to practice in good standing
• Knowledge base in health promotion and maintenance, advanced pathophysiology, advanced health assessment, and pharmacology

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience providing mental health counseling services within a clinical setting

Additional Requirements

• All final candidates must submit to a background check and drug screen prior to employment

Schedule

• PRN (as-needed) position with occasional weekend coverage
• Onsite role
