PRN Nurse Extern / PRN Nursing Assistant

Baptist Health is seeking PRN Nurse Externs and Nursing Assistants to join our clinical team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a supportive environment while developing clinical skills under the direction and supervision of Registered Nurses.

Nurse Extern Position

Nurse Externs perform designated tasks in the provision of age-appropriate patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior or senior level student in an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program or higher
• Recommendation of instructors and verification of competencies
• Current GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Positive attitude with strong organizational, customer service, and critical thinking skills

Nursing Assistant Position

Nursing Assistants perform designated tasks in the provision of age-appropriate patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Six months of experience in a hospital or long-term care facility
