PRN Critical Care Cardiology Nurse Practitioner

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is seeking a PRN Critical Care Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for their dedicated Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) in Nashville, Tennessee. This is a nocturnist position providing autonomous care to critically ill cardiac patients in collaboration with top cardiac critical care providers.

Clinical Setting

TriStar Centennial Medical Center is a 741-bed comprehensive facility with a 43-acre campus. The CICU operates with 24/7 Advanced Practice Provider coverage and serves a patient population of 32,500+ annual admissions and 87,500+ annual emergency department visits. The facility includes the TriStar Centennial Heart & Vascular Center and is supported by over 1,000 physicians and 3,100 staff members.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to critically ill patients in the CICU
• Collaborate with cardiac critical care specialists and the interdisciplinary team
• Work autonomously in the CICU environment
• Manage invasive procedures and mechanical circulatory support devices

Required Qualifications

• Current certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Tennessee licensure or ability to obtain
• Advanced Practice critical care experience required
• Minimum 2 nocturnist shifts per month (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Competency in or willingness to train in invasive procedures and management of mechanical circulatory support
• High motivation and desire to work in an autonomous CICU environment

Schedule

• PRN (as needed) position
• Nocturnist shifts: 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Minimum 2 shifts per month required
