Private Duty Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

BAYADA Home Health Care is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for private duty nursing in Bergen County. In this role, you will provide one-on-one care to patients ranging from infants to geriatric clients in their homes. You will work flexible shifts near your home, building meaningful relationships with clients while supporting their health and independence.

Clinical Setting

Private duty nursing differs from traditional home health visits. You will care for one client per shift in their home environment, offering traditional shift types (8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts). Clients represent all ages, diagnoses, and acuity levels, including both adult and pediatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Travel to one client home near you on a schedule you choose
• Follow up with, execute, and properly document doctors' orders
• Perform assessments and monitor clients' conditions
• Document observations, interventions, and evaluation using electronic charting (Statewise)

Required Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited and approved nursing program, as indicated by school transcript or diploma
• Current nursing license in good standing in the state

Schedule and Employment

• Flexible scheduling with no minimums (full-time, part-time, or per diem)
• Weekly pay every Thursday
• Short commute times near your home

Compensation and Bonuses

• $30.00-$35.00 per hour
• $35.00-$40.00 per hour for ongoing weekend shifts
• Sign-on bonus up to $2,500
• $1,200 nurse referral bonus
