Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an Advanced Practice Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join the Primary Care Outpatient team in Cartersville. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, providing comprehensive medical services to a diverse patient population including adults and pediatrics from newborns through adulthood.

Clinical Setting

You will work in an outpatient primary care practice, collaborating with multiple Internal Medicine providers to deliver coordinated patient care. The practice emphasizes health promotion alongside acute and chronic disease management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide medical services to individuals, families, and groups
  • Emphasize health promotion and manage acute and chronic diseases
  • Augment physician ability to provide medical services to patients
  • Collect and document patient data
  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations
  • Provide direct patient care services
  • Work collaboratively with multiple Internal Medicine providers in the care of the primary care provider's patient panel

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Master's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited PA program with National Board Certification, OR
  • Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by the State of Georgia with National Certification
