TeamHealth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our post-acute care team in Southport, North Carolina. In this full-time role, you will round in skilled nursing facilities, providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team. This position offers excellent clinical support, autonomy, and significant earning potential.

Clinical Setting

You will work in skilled nursing facilities, delivering high-quality care during critical transitions in patients' healthcare journeys. The medical practice is part of TeamACO, a dedicated long-term Accountable Care Organization participating in the Medicare Shared Savings Program, which may result in shared savings distributions based on performance criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs
  • Monitor patient progress and coordinate care to optimize clinical outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Educate patients and families on health management and preventive care strategies
  • Maintain accurate, timely medical records in compliance with regulatory standards

Schedule

This is a full-time position working 5 days per week with dedicated night call coverage to support work-life balance.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in North Carolina
  • DEA registration
  • Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach

Compensation and Earnings

Compensation is fee-for-service with an estimated annual range of $126,208 to $149,450, with no cap on productivity income potential.

Travel and Relocation

You must be able to commute or relocate to the Southport, Wilmington, or Leland, North Carolina area. This is an in-person position.
