TeamHealth is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our post-acute care team in Artesia, New Mexico. This full-time position involves rounding in skilled nursing facilities four days per week, providing comprehensive care to a diverse patient population while collaborating with an experienced multidisciplinary team.
Clinical Setting
You will work in skilled nursing facilities, delivering care to post-acute patients. The medical practice is part of TeamACO, a dedicated long-term Accountable Care Organization participating in the Medicare Shared Savings Program, which may result in shared savings distributions based on performance criteria.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories and physical exams
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized care plans based on patient needs
- Monitor patient progress and coordinate care to optimize outcomes
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
- Educate patients and families on health management and preventive strategies
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records in compliance with regulations
Required Qualifications
- Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the State of New Mexico
- DEA registration
- Strong clinical foundation and knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Collaborative, team-oriented approach
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in post-acute, acute, emergency department, or clinic settings

Schedule and Support
This is a full-time position working four days per week. Dedicated night call coverage is provided to support work-life balance. You will receive comprehensive support including a three-month onboarding program, a dedicated clinical field mentor, and access to industry-leading clinical experts in post-acute medicine. Compensation
Compensation is fee-for-service with an estimated range of $83,000 to $98,000 annually. There is no cap on productivity income potential.

Relocation
